Rumi Awards 2016

2016 finished with a bang, as I had a privilege of being nominated for the best international fashion designer by Rumi Awards along with small group of selected designers from Europe, Asia, and US. Each designer had only 3 minutes to present their collections - and to be honest, this part made me a bid worried.  Although we had the option to present as many designs as we wanted, I decided to go for quality instead of quantity. I designed a Holiday Mini Unique Collection consisting of three one-of-a-kind dresses based on my original artworks with waterproof LED lights inserted into them.

One of the gowns (worn by my brand ambassador Svetlana Jilenko,  who also represented Russia in the Rumi Awards World Pageant and was second runner up for the top award), was named "Two Become One" because this particular dress was based on two of my original paintings with one printed over another. The fun part about this particular gown as well as the other two is that it can be worn both ways, with LED lights or without and it is available for purchase on my website for the limited time only.
Another dress from the collection named "Mysterious Desire" was worn by real Scientist-Astronaut-Candidate and mother of two, Anima Patil-Sabale.  Anima gave a short speech about her accomplishments during the presentation, and you can see it in the video and the pictures of her wearing below. The black and white dress she is wearing on the picture is also available in my online store now as well.
The third dress worn by the beautiful model and dancer Yamilet Camacho is not up  in the store yet, but will be available soon.
P.S. The last, but very important part here is that every single dress you buy from this collection comes with an original, signed limited edition art print. Meaning that the Two Become One dress comes with two limited edition art prints of the paintings that this wearable art piece is based on :)
It was a beautiful event and I am looking forward to many more this year.  Stay tuned.
